Zhiwaling
Zhiwaling Heritage, a 5-star Hotel is set on an expansive garden of flowers and trees in the beautiful valley of Paro in Bhutan. Located just 15 minutes drive from the airport, Zhiwaling is within easy reach of Bhutan’s most revered temples and monasteries.
This Bhutanese owned hotel was envisioned by a local business man and meticulously handcrafted over a period of five years by a team of hundreds of local artisans.
From its exterior adorned with intricately carved woodwork and traditional stone work, to its interior embellished with hand-painted murals and traditionally hand carved Bhutanese motifs, the hotel pays homage to the ‘Dzongs’ or fortresses of Bhutan, showcasing the country’s rich and unique architectural heritage.
Indulging in the Zhiwaling experience goes beyond a simple stay; it unfolds as an enchanting
cultural and spiritual journey, weaving you into the very fabric of Bhutan's rich heritage.
Considering visiting Thimphu? Take a look at our sister hotel, Zhiwaling Ascent- Bhutan’s first contemporary concept hotel. The property is located just outside the centre of the city, offering a peaceful retreat away from bustling urban environment.
